Senior HR Business Partner
I’ve known this Head of HR for years, so when she called about a senior BP role in her team, I had a pretty good idea of the calibre of leadership someone would be working with.
And the brief has plenty going for it. Senior stakeholder partnering, projects across capability, wellbeing and systems and complex ER that calls for sound judgement and experience. It’s a role backed by the executive, with the breadth to keep an experienced BP challenged.
The Opportunity.
This is a stable organisation with a strong pipeline of investment ahead, particularly across HR systems, leadership capability and wellbeing.
Reporting to the Head of HR, this is an individual contributor role partnering with senior leaders and functional heads across your portfolio. You’ll coach leaders through complex people matters, lead engagement and remuneration review activities for your areas and use people data to identify trends, challenge thinking and build the case for change.
There’s also project work underway across manager capability, wellbeing and psychosocial risk, alongside an upcoming HR systems change. ER will account for around a third of your time, so you’ll need to be comfortable managing complex matters end to end when they arise.
You’ll also be a sounding board for the other HRBPs, helping them build their confidence and capability.
You.
You’re an experienced HR Business Partner who enjoys being close to the business, building relationships with senior stakeholders and balancing strategic partnering with hands-on delivery.
You can interpret people data, identify what matters and turn that into meaningful action. You’re equally comfortable leading projects and managing complex ER matters, bringing sound judgement, a practical approach and the confidence to guide leaders through sensitive situations.
You might already be operating at Senior HRBP level or be an experienced BP ready for that next step.
