Head of ER Advisory
Enterprise bargaining underway. An experienced ER team to lead. And an ER Advisory model ready to be reshaped.
The Opportunity.
This is a broad Head of ER role, leading a team of around eight and taking ownership of enterprise bargaining, complex and sensitive employee matters and Fair Work Commission work.
You’ll lead bargaining and the implementation of resulting agreements, provide advice on complex ER matters and work closely with senior leaders and the broader People function.
There’s also a function to reshape. The current ER Advisory model is being reviewed, creating the opportunity to rethink how the team operates, where accountability sits and how ER works alongside a broader People Partnering and ER function of around 75 people.
The remit also extends to emerging employment, industrial and regulatory change — understanding what’s coming and translating it into practical frameworks and guidance across the organisation.
You.
First and foremost, you’ll be an ER specialist. You’ll bring deep employee and industrial relations experience, including enterprise bargaining (ideally as a lead negotiator) complex case management and Fair Work Commission matters.
You’ll have experience leading ER practitioners and the judgement to advise senior leaders through sensitive, high-risk employee matters. You’ll be technically strong, but equally able to take a practical view and work through what an issue means for the organisation, its leaders and its people.
You don’t need a legal background; your background could be corporate, government, healthcare, professional services or another highly regulated environment. What matters is the depth of your ER experience and your ability to operate effectively at this level.
