Head of Payroll

We’re partnering on a senior payroll leadership role with real scope to modernise, uplift and lead. Backed by Execs and supported by a team open to change, you’ll bring clarity, capability and confidence to a critical business function.

The Opportunity.

Payroll has been steady for years – but it now needs a step change. The business has grown, new systems are rolling out and there’s real appetite for sharper process, integration and compliance.

That’s where you come in.

You’ll lead the redesign of payroll from the ground up: new systems, new structure and a renewed focus on accuracy, compliance and service. You’ll build and lead a small, committed team, improve integration with upstream HR systems, and ensure legislative compliance doesn’t feel like a moving target.

You’ll work closely with the People & Rem and Finance teams, coach leaders, and build a function where trust, clarity and compliance go hand-in-hand.
This is a high-trust role that needs both strategic thinking and steady hands.

You.

• Strong senior payroll leadership experience across complex environments
• Exposure to EAs, Awards and collective agreements
• Confidence in driving change; systems, structure and culture
• A collaborative approach: you’ll work closely with HR, Finance and the Executive teams
• A grounding in compliance, with an eye for simplification and scalability

• Hybrid: 3-4 days in office, as transformation work ramps up
