Head of Workplace Relations
This business is in growth mode and they’re looking for a leader to shape how Workplace Relations operates across an evolving environment.
You’ll serve as the key subject matter expert, guiding the organisation through the changing landscape of Australian employment law while fostering a constructive, respectful workplace for all. Reporting to the CPO, you’ll refine frameworks that balance compliance with culture and help the business make confident, fair and commercially sound decisions.
You’ll also play a central role in strengthening culture and governance – ensuring the organisation continues to protect its people as it grows.
What you’ll do:
- Lead a capable team covering the workplace relations strategy.
- Provide expert guidance on ER and compliance at a national level
- Partner with the CPO and ELT to influence organisational decisions with sound judgement and commercial insight.
- Shape workplace policy and frameworks that reflect modern employment legislation and best practice.
What you’ll bring:
- Deep knowledge of Australian employment law frameworks.
- 7+ years’ experience across complex ER leadership roles.
- Proven ability to influence and coach senior leaders through sensitive or high-impact issues.
- Strategic mindset with the confidence to translate legislation into practical, people-focused solutions.
- Clear communication and negotiation skills, with a calm, credible approach.
- Relevant tertiary qualifications in Law, HR, ER or related fields.
