I’ve known this Senior People & Culture leader for years now. If I was back on the other side of the desk, she’d be someone I’d be hanging to work for. Practical, commercial and clear in what she’s building, she’s looking for someone who enjoys partnering with leaders but also wants the opportunity to leave their fingerprints on a business. There are plenty of projects waiting for someone to take ownership of, genuine investment behind the People & Culture function and the autonomy to make this role your own.

The Business.
A well-established ANZ business with a footprint spanning manufacturing, operations and sales. Following a change in ownership and significant investment, the organisation is entering its next phase of growth, with a refreshed executive team, ambitious plans and a clear focus on building capability across the business.

The People & Culture function is evolving alongside it. The foundations are in place, but there’s still plenty to build. Leadership capability, talent, onboarding, engagement and organisational projects are all firmly on the agenda, with a leadership team that understands the value of investing in people.

The Opportunity.
This is a true Business Partner role. You’ll support operational and sales leaders across Australia and New Zealand, becoming a trusted advisor who helps leaders navigate day-to-day people matters while also contributing to the broader People & Culture agenda. You’ll have exposure to employee relations, performance, investigations, talent and organisational initiatives, but equally you’ll have the opportunity to own projects that improve how the business attracts, develops and retains its people.

What I liked most about this briefing was the balance. There is enough BAU and operational work to keep you connected to the business, but plenty of opportunity to step back and build something better. Whether that’s leadership capability, onboarding, engagement initiatives or improving existing processes, this is a role where you’ll be encouraged to take ownership rather than simply maintain what’s already there.

You.
You’ll already be operating as a HR Business Partner and enjoy building relationships with leaders across operational environments. You’re practical in your approach, comfortable working autonomously and naturally balance commercial outcomes with good people decisions.

Manufacturing experience would be helpful, but it’s certainly not essential. What will set you apart is your ability to build credibility quickly, your confidence working across a broad generalist portfolio and your willingness to roll your sleeves up when needed.

Why this one?
The flexibility is genuine. The projects are ready. The leadership is strong.
With this role, you’ll find a business that values outcomes over presenteeism, while still staying connected to the operation. More importantly, you’ll be joining a People & Culture function that’s building for the future.
