HR Lead
We’re partnering with an exciting Australian organisation going through significant transformation and they’re looking for an HR Lead to help shape the evolution of the function.
The Opportunity.
There’s already plenty to get stuck into. The business partnering model is evolving, there’s a small team to lead and develop, alongside significant work underway around automation and how the function operates. But a big part of this role is also figuring out what comes next.
You’ll work closely with a highly experienced transformation leader who has a clear mandate for change, but doesn’t want to prescribe exactly what this role should look like.
The expectation is that you’ll get out into the business, understand how it works, build relationships and form a view on what HR needs to do differently.
What should the priorities be? What capability does the team need? Where should resource sit? And what should the people plan look like over the next couple of years? You’ll have input into all of it.
You.
Commercial acumen is the big one. We talk a lot about this in the market at the moment – and for this role, it couldn’t be more true. You need to understand how businesses make money and be able to connect that with the people decisions HR is making. You’ll build relationships easily, influence well and be comfortable operating when things aren’t perfectly defined.
You might already be an HR Manager or HR Lead, or you could be a strong Senior HR Business Partner ready to step up, lead a team and take on broader responsibility. You don’t need to be an expert in everything. There is an enterprise agreement to get across, but there’s experienced support around you and an opportunity to build that exposure if it hasn’t been a big part of your career to date.
More than anything, we’re looking for someone commercially switched on, influential and energised by shaping something as it takes form.
