HR Manager
We’re partnering with a fast-growing organisation in Newcastle to appoint their first dedicated HR Manager; a role designed to bring structure, consistency and uplift to how HR is delivered across the business.
This is a rare chance to step into a newly created position where you’ll shape the HR function end-to-end, balancing hands-on delivery with trusted advisor support to leaders. You’ll work closely with the CEO and leadership team, embedding practical frameworks across performance, capability, compliance, culture and onboarding – all while improving the day-to-day employee experience.
The Opportunity
• Own and refine the full employee lifecycle – from hiring through to onboarding, performance, engagement and offboarding
• Support managers with coaching, feedback and practical tools that lift capability
• Build and maintain HR systems & data integrity
• Lead culture and engagement initiatives that bring values to life
• Manage compliance, contracts and key governance activities
• Drive continuous improvement across processes, policies and reporting
What You’ll Bring
• Solid HR generalist experience (6+ years) with confidence across the full HR lifecycle
• Strong understanding of Australian employment law and compliance
• Experience supporting leaders through growth, change or scale-up environments
• The ability to balance structure with pragmatism; knowing when to hold the line and when to find a workable solution
• A warm, steady and confident style – someone people trust and seek out
