This is a rare one.

Growth has been organic, steady and considered, and the business continues to build out its presence globally.

Here in Australia, the foundations are strong. What’s needed now is someone to take ownership of the people agenda and build it properly.
You’ll sit on the ELT and work closely with a small, commercially minded leadership group. There’s no large HR team to inherit and no legacy structure to navigate. This is about establishing the baseline, building the frameworks, and lifting the maturity of the function in a way that fits the business rather than slows it down.

The workforce is diverse, the environment is hands-on, and the expectation is that you’ll be both strategic and practical. You’ll shape how things are done across performance, capability, structure and governance, while making sure the business continues to feel like itself.

There’s a particular balance to strike. As an ASX-listed organisation, there are governance expectations that need to be met. At the same time, this is not a corporate machine. It’s a business that values ownership, speed and accountability. You’ll need to be comfortable operating in that tension and helping leaders navigate it.

Recruitment volumes are modest, largely driven by natural attrition, but there’s plenty to do across organisational design, workforce planning and building out a fit-for-purpose HR framework that supports continued growth.
You’ll likely have led or built a People function in a similar environment, ideally one that has scaled from a founder-led or mid-sized base into something more structured, without losing its edge.

The role is based in St Leonards, with a flexible working rhythm (typically 3–4 days in the office). Parking is available and the office is an easy walk from the station.

If you’re looking for something you can genuinely shape and own, this is worth a conversation.
