Payroll & People Operations Manager
We’re looking for a People Operations leader to step into a high-impact role focused on delivering compliant, efficient and people-centred services across Australia and New Zealand.
In the first 9–12 months, your focus will be on payroll, owning end-to-end delivery (fortnightly and monthly) and leading a small team through a process uplift. You’ll assess current ways of working, find efficiencies and get the most out of existing tools, systems and data.
But this isn’t just a payroll role.
Longer term, this position becomes the heartbeat of People Operations – simplifying and improving how core services are delivered across onboarding, offboarding, document workflows, recognition and more. There’s tech in place and a real appetite for smarter, cleaner ways of working.
What you’ll bring:
- Strong payroll operations experience across AU/NZ (compliance is second nature)
- A natural optimiser – curious, systems-savvy, and comfortable leading change
- Collaborative and credible across HR, Finance, IT and Ops
- Experience in coaching teams, running projects, and turning process into progress
