Senior ER/IR Advisor
For an ER/IR specialist who wants to operate at the deep end of the discipline, this is a compelling place to be.
This is a large, complex business with a workforce and industrial relations environment to match. Unionised, blue collar and substantial, it’s an organisation where ER/IR capability is valued and the function has the respect and resources to back it up.
The Opportunity.
A Senior ER/IR Advisor role sitting within a well-resourced HR function and working closely with a highly experienced Head of ER/IR across the full remit.
The remit is broad and interesting. Industrial disputes, enterprise bargaining, FWC representation, right of entry, workplace investigations, disciplinary matters and workplace change. The variety is genuine and so is the complexity.
You will advise senior leaders, contribute to EA negotiations from preparation through to on-site implementation and help build ER/IR capability across the broader HR team. It is a role with real scope and a leader worth learning from.
You.
Five or more years inside a complex, unionised environment with a blue collar workforce. You have exposure to industrial action, run EA negotiations and represented the business at the Fair Work Commission. You know the Fair Work Act well, you can interpret an Enterprise Agreement and you are comfortable advising across the full ER/IR remit.
Just as important is how you communicate. You write and draft to a high standard, you can distil complicated matters into clear advice and you know how to land a recommendation with senior stakeholders.
This role will suit someone who enjoys working closely with the business, takes ownership of their space and thrives on variety.
