Senior Manager – ER/IR
We’re partnering with a global organisation to recruit a Senior ER/IR Manager into their first class People team. This is a high-impact, strategic leadership role, one that sits at the heart of change, complexity and influence across a large-scale organisation.
Reporting to the Director – Employee and Industrial Relations, this role is critical in shaping and executing ER/IR strategy, partnering with senior leaders and guiding the organisation through enterprise negotiations, transformation, and compliance.
This is not a role for the sidelines. You’ll be hands-on with enterprise bargaining, litigation, leadership capability building and culture shaping – all within a highly unionised, operationally diverse business.
What You’ll Lead:
- End-to-end enterprise agreement negotiations and industrial strategy
- Engagement with key external bodies: Fair Work Commission, Federal Court, and other tribunals
- Management of industrial disputes, litigation and workplace investigations
- Development of IR/ER policy frameworks, compliance reviews, and rectification programs
- Trusted ER/IR advisor to operational and senior business leaders
- Capability-building for leaders and people teams in all things ER/IR
What You’ll Bring:
- 10+ years’ experience in complex, unionised environments
- Deep understanding of the Fair Work Act and employment legislation
- Proven strength in enterprise bargaining, IR strategy and dispute resolution
- Experience working closely with blue-collar or industrial workforces
- Confident stakeholder engagement – you’ll be influencing at every level
- A calm, commercial mindset under pressure
