Senior People Partner
This is a Senior People Partner opportunity with genuine proximity to the decisions that shape an organisation.
The Opportunity.
Working within a highly regarded People & Culture function in a large Australian financial services organisation, you’ll partner directly with three C-suite executives across Finance, Revenue and Risk.
The client group itself is relatively concentrated at around 175 people, and that’s an important part of the opportunity as you’ll have the capacity to work closely with your executives and their leadership teams on the deeper strategic people agenda.
You’ll be in the conversations that help leaders think through organisational design, workforce planning, succession and talent, leadership capability, performance, engagement and change. You’ll use data and commercial insight to challenge thinking, diagnose issues and turn business priorities into practical people strategies.
- Act as a trusted strategic partner to senior executives and their leadership teams
- Lead organisational design and workforce planning initiatives
- Build succession and talent strategies across critical functions
- Partner with specialist P&C teams across capability, talent, reward and employee experience
- Navigate complex employee relations and an evolving regulatory environment
Why this one?
The People & Culture function has received significant investment over recent years, building both its leadership capability and supporting systems. HR has a genuine voice within the organisation and this role has considerable exposure to senior decision makers. Hybrid and non-traditional working patterns are also actively supported, rather than simply appearing in the EVP.
For the right person, the visibility across three critical executive portfolios also creates an excellent platform for future growth and succession.
You.
You’ll already be operating as an experienced HR/People Business Partner with the credibility to work directly with executives and senior leadership teams.
You’ll bring strong commercial judgement and enough breadth to move comfortably between strategic organisational questions and the practical realities of implementation. Experience across organisational design, talent and succession, performance, change, reward and employee relations will all be valuable. Given the environment, experience within financial services, insurance or another regulated organisation would be particularly relevant.
Most importantly, you’ll know how to build trust with senior leaders, challenge constructively and turn a business conversation into a meaningful people agenda.
